Why “I aim…” and not “I aims…”?
My question might look silly, but it's confusing me as to how the first sentence below is correct and the latter incorrect, according to Grammarly app?
1) I aim to exceed the expectations of my team.
2) I aims to exceed the expectations of my team.
According to the general rule of Grammar, the singular pronoun "I/He/She" should go with singular verbs "exceeds/aims/strives." So when "He aims..." is correct, why not "I aims..." as I is also singular?
Your guidance will be appreciated!

I don't know what you can see, or think you can see, in the Grammarly app, but the first-person singular ("I") of the verbs "to exceed", "to aim", "to strive" are, respectively, "I exceed", "I aim", "I strive". It is the third-person singular "he/she/it" that takes the 's' for of the verb ... "he aims, he exceeds, he strives'.
