'We' in indirect speech

I have some doubts about converting Direct to Indirect speech in this sentence.
The teacher said to the class:"We shall discuss this subject tomorrow".
Is the pronoun correct? The teacher said to the class that we would discuss that subject the next day. I set 'We' pronoun because I think if it where 'They', then teacher said about him and somebody else. But if I set 'We', then teacher said about him and the whole class. Am I thinking correctly?
